Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about integrating New Zealand address autocomplete into your application.

Data & Accuracy
Where does your address data come from?
Our primary source is Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), the official government record for NZ addresses.
How often is the data updated?
We sync with the LINZ database monthly. This ensures that new housing developments and street changes are reflected in your autocomplete results as soon as the official records are published.
Billing & Usage
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, you can cancel directly from your account page. Your API keys will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
Technical & Security
How do I secure my API Key?
We strongly recommend setting Referrer Restrictions in your console page. This ensures your API key only works when called from your specific domains (e.g., yourwebsite.co.nz), preventing others from stealing your quota.
Do you store the addresses my customers search for?
We log the query string temporarily for debugging and performance monitoring, but we do not track or build profiles on your individual users. Your customers' privacy is paramount, and we comply with the NZ Privacy Act 2020.
Is the API compatible with standard address forms?
Yes. The API returns a structured JSON object including Unit, Street Number, Street Name, Suburb, City, and Postcode, making it easy to populate standard HTML form fields automatically.
